Sony has introduced the PS5 Slim, a slimmer and more compact version of the PlayStation 5 gaming console. It comes in two variants: PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. As the name suggests, it’s slimmer and more compact than the original PS5.

- Up to 24% lighter
- New side covers with glossy and matte finishes
- Increased storage capacity of 1TB for games
- Two separate covers for the front and back, totaling four panels
- The digital edition supports a detachable Blu-ray disc drive
- Horizontal and vertical stands sold separately
The PS5 Slim retains the same features and specifications as the standard PS5, but with reduced weight and increased storage.

The PS5 Slim is now available for purchase in India from various retailers such as Amazon.in, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, and Vijay Sales. The pricing for the Slim editions is as follows:
- Sony PlayStation 5 Console (slim) : Rs. 54,990
- Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (slim): Rs. 44,990
Sony has partnered with Blinkit for the delivery of PS5 Slim consoles, which will be available for purchase on the Blinkit app in select cities in 10 minutes (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru) starting from today, as announced by Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa on X (formerly Twitter).
