Nothing Phone (2a) to ditch Glyph Interface reveals renders [Update: It’s fake]

Update: Looks like the new renders are not from CAD design, and are from Nothing Phone (1) promo videos, so these are fake. The phone is expected to feature a horizontally-aligned camera in the centre, and not in the top left corner.

Nothing Phone (2a), the successor to Nothing Phone (1) surfaced in live images recently. Now, thanks to @OnLeaks, a render of the smartphone back design has surfaced.

Nothing has now posted a new teaser that hides the phone, and the company says more details will be revealed at 3:30PM IST on February 13th.

According to the render, Phone (2a), the company’s entry-level device will ditch the company’s exclusive glyph interface, while maintaining the transparent design language. The smartphone features a dual-camera setup.

Contradicting the earlier image of the testing unit, which had a camera module at the center, this has a dual camera setup placed on the left end of the phone.

It has a unique design language, featuring a large circular design near the camera module, followed by a strip of line that resembles a high-level view of the circuit’s connecting strip. Further, there’s also a Nothing logo on the corner with some certification details on the other side.

Nothing, after confirming the name of the phone, said that the Phone (2a) has been engineered with a focus on providing the optimal daily smartphone experience, doubling down on core user needs, with all of Nothing’s expertise and craftsmanship.

The phone will leverage some of the most loved Phone (2) features while ensuring a clear upgrade compared to phone (1) on every front, said the company.

We can expect more details at the MWC 2024 since the company has scheduled an event at the MWC 2024 on February 27th.
