Xiaomi just announced the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. The phone features a 6.78-inch 2K C8 OLED LTPO screen co-developed by Xiaomi and CSOT, with peak brightness of 3000 nits, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, has support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also offers, 1920Hz PWM dimming.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage and has new 4000mm² dual-circuit Circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, promising 3 times the performance of traditional VC. There is support for two-way satellite communications.

The phone has quad rear cameras with a 50MP 1″ large Sony LYT-900 sensor, f/1.63 ~ f/4 1024-step variable aperture for excellent background blur and also capture every detail clearly.  It has a 50MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera, all with Leica Summilux lens.

The phone has an Unibody metal frame, new Xiaomi Dragon Armor Architecture that uses high-strength aluminum alloy frame and Ceramic Glass. It is said that the bending resistance of the body frame is 8% higher than that of the iPhone’s titanium middle frame, and the glass’s drop resistance is 10 times higher. The phone equipped with AAC SLA1010 X-axis linear motor, and comes with IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

It has a 5300mAh battery, 90W wired charging that can charge up to 100% in 34 minutes, 80W wireless charging for 100% charge in 49 minutes and 10W reverse wireless charging. There are Xiaomi Surge P2 charging chipsets and Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipsets.

There is a Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Metal Special Edition with an aerospace-grade titanium alloy and high-strength aluminum alloy materials.
