Samsung India has launched the SSD 990 EVO, a high-performance solid-state drive with impressive read/write speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s and 4,200 MB/s.
Compared to its predecessor, the 970 EVO Plus, the 990 EVO offers a 43% performance boost. Suitable for gaming, work, and video/photo editing, it features enhanced random read and write speeds of up to 700K IOPS and 800K IOPS.
Featuring Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology, the SSD achieves optimized performance even without a DRAM design, ensuring faster loading times for games and efficient file access.
The 990 EVO improves power efficiency by up to 70%, supporting extended PC usage without constant battery life concerns. It also enables Modern Standby for instant on/off functionality and seamless connectivity in low-power states.
The SSD’s heat spreader label maintains thermal conditions, allowing consistent high-level performance. Available in 1TB and 2TB options, the 990 EVO supports PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2 interfaces, accommodating current and future PC requirements.
Samsung Magician software offers optimization tools, including health monitoring, data protection, and timely firmware updates.

The Samsung SSD 990 EVO is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 1TB variant and Rs. 16,699 for the 2TB variant, backed by a 5-year limited warranty and available in black color.
