Qualcomm to introduce flagship Snapdragon chip on March 18


Qualcomm has announced an event on March 18th in China to introduce a flagship Snapdragon chip. This is said to be Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635) SoC that is said to use a similar architecture as the 8 Gen 3, and include Cortex-X4 core.

The SoC is said to pack 1 x 3.01GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720 + 3x 1.84GHz Cortex-A520 CPU, with similar architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but this is said to use Adreno 735 GPU.

The company is also expected to introduce Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) at the event. This is also said to use a similar architecture, but with different clock speeds – 1 x 2.8GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x sub-2.6GHz Cortex-A720 + 3x sub-1.9GHz Cortex-A520 CPU and Adreno 732 GPU. It is said to have scored 1.5 million on AnTuTu, and the GPU performance is said to be on par to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Based on earlier rumours, realme GT Neo6 is said to use Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and Neo 6 SE is said to pack Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675)  SoC. There are also rumours of Redmi Note 13 Turbo, upcoming iQOO Neo9 series phone and vivo Pad 3 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

A Xiaomi phone with the model number 24053PY09C got certified by TENAA recently. This is said to Civi 4 powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

OnePlus Ace 3V (Nord 4/5) that surfaced recently is said to pack Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. We should know the complete list when the chips are introduced next week.
