Samsung Galaxy Ring health and wellness tracker teased

Samsung teased the Galaxy Ring, the company’s upcoming smart ring with Samsung Health features, at its Unpacked 2024 event, where the company introduced the Galaxy S24 series smartphones.

Samsung calls it a “powerful and accessible” health and wellness device. The teaser shows a ring with sensors on the inside, but the company did not reveal any other details about the ring.

Samsung filed for a U.S. trademark for the ‘Galaxy Ring’ last year, and a rumour from Korea said that the company is planning to release it in 2024. The rumour also revealed that the ring is designed to work with XR devices and aims to offer improved body information measurement accuracy compared to the Galaxy Watch.

It is expected to feature various sensors for collecting body and health information, which users can access through a smartphone app for monitoring purposes.

The Galaxy Ring is expected to outperform smartwatches in terms of data accuracy, especially for sleep and health-related information. Its snug fit on the finger is likely to reduce measurement errors compared to loosely worn smartwatches.

We should know more details about the Galaxy Ring in the coming months.
