Google Pixel 9 with 6.03″ display surfaces in renders; Pixel 9 Pro XL expected

Google Pixel 9’s design has been revealed through 5K renders, set to launch alongside Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The first leaked renders for Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro came out a few months ago.

Now, a new render for Pixel 9 has surfaced, making it the third device in Google’s Pixel 9 lineup for 2024. The leaked CAD renders by Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks) via 91mobiles give us a comprehensive view of Pixel 9 from all angles.

It shares a striking resemblance with the design of Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, suggesting a unified design approach by Google for the Pixel 9 series, which could strengthen its brand identity.

Notably, Pixel 9 distinguishes itself with two rear cameras, whereas Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL sport three rear shooters each. Regarding Pixel 9 Pro XL, it was initially mistaken for Pixel 9 in earlier leaks but has now been clarified.

The leak also reveals that Pixel 9 will feature a 6.03-inch screen, slightly smaller than Pixel 9 Pro’s apparent 6.1-inch display, with dimensions measuring 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, identical to Pixel 9 Pro.

This aligns with a Pixel roadmap leak from 2022, suggesting Pixel 9 would have a 6.1-inch display, while Pixel 9 Pro, codenamed “caiman,” would feature a smaller 6.3-inch display and correspondingly sized body. Additionally, there would be Pixel 9 Pro XL, codenamed “komodo,” boasting a larger 6.7-inch display.

The Pixel 9 series is expected to be powered by Tensor G4, codenamed “Redondo.” Further specifications are yet to be disclosed, with more details anticipated closer to its expected introduction in October.
