Bharti Airtel has launched new in-flight roaming plans for its customers, allowing them to stay connected while flying. With these plans, customers can access high-speed internet, make calls, and engage in various activities during their flights.
Airtel’s in-flight offerings include voice, data, and SMS services, ensuring a seamless travel experience. Partnering with Aeromobile, these services are accessible across 19 airlines flying international routes (Aer Lingus, Asiana Airlines, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Egyptair, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Eva Air, Kuwait Airways, Lufthansa, Malaysia Airlines, Sas Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Tap Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Air Belgium, ITA Airways.).
Additionally, Airtel said that it provides customer support around the clock through its contact center and a dedicated WhatsApp number (99100-99100), connecting customers with network specialists for real-time assistance.
Moreover, customers have the option to manage their data usage, purchase additional minutes, and access billing details in real-time through the Airtel Thanks App.
How to use it?
Once you are on the flight and receive the crew confirmation to use mobile phones, follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Switch your phone on, making sure Airplane Mode is off
- Your phone will automatically connect to the AeroMobile network
- If your phone does not connect to the AeroMobile network automatically, go to phone settings and manually select AeroMobile
- To use data services, you will need to ensure Data Roaming is on.
Pricing and availability
The service is available to customers subscribed to roaming packs priced at Rs. 2,997 for prepaid and Rs. 3,999 for postpaid and above, without any extra charges.
