MediaTek Dimensity 7000 5nm SoC specs surface

MediaTek introduced its flagship Dimensity 9000 4nm SoC earlier this month. Now the specifications of the Dimensity 7000 5nm SoC has surfaced in China, thanks to leaker Digital Chat Station. This reveals that it will use 4x  Cortex A78 CPUs clocked at 2.75GHz and 4 x Cortex A55 CPUs clocked at 2.0GHz.

This looks like an overclocked Dimensity 1100 Soc which has 4x Cortex-A78 @ 2.6GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 @ 2GHz. The Dimensity 1200 uses 1x Cortex-A78 @ 3GHz, 3x Cortex-A78 @ 2.6GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 @ 2GHz.

The Dimensity 7000 is said to use the latest Mali-G510 MC6 GPU compared to Mali-G77 MC9 GPU in the Dimensity 1200. According to ARM, the Mali-G510 GPU will offer a 100% improvement in performance and 22% improvement in energy savings compared to Mali-G57 that is used in Dimensity 810.

This hints that the Dimensity 7000 will be a mid-range processor, unlike the Dimesity 9000, so it could power several mid-range Redmi, realme and other phones coming out next year.
