motorola edge 50 Pro launching in India on April 3: 6.7″ 1.5K 144Hz curved pOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, IP68 ratings


Update: motorola has confirmed the launch of edge 50 Pro smartphone in India on April, 3rd. It has also confirmed more features of the phone, including Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.

The company has also confirmed Android 14 with 3 OS updates, Hello UI, 125W wired charging with 68W charger in the box and 50w wireless charging support.

Earlier: After rumours and teasers, motorola India has confirmed the launch of edge 50 Pro smartphone soon. The teaser confirms the design and some of the specifications of the phone.

It has the tag line “Intelligence meets Art” and the phone will be sold on Flipkart, in addition to offline stores, according to the company.

The company has confirmed 6.7″ 1.5K 144Hz curved pOLED display validated by pantone for the first time in the world. It will offer up to 2000 nits peak brightness, support HDR 10+ and come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

You can sync the style with Generative AI theming, says the company. It will pack 50MP rear camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera with macro option, 10MP telephoto camera with 50x hybrid zoom and pack camera features such as AI adaptive stabilization, autofocus tracking, AI photo enhancement engine and tilt mode. This is also the world’s first pantone validated camera that captures true colors as they are meant to be, says the company.

The phone will come in 3 pantone curated colors. Based on earlier rumours, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB of RAM, come with IP68 ratings and pack a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

motorola India has also teased Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered phone recently. This is expected to be motorola edge 50 fusion.

The motorola edge 50 series smartphones should be introduced at an event in New Delhi on April 3rd.
