Google is gearing up to launch its latest addition to the Pixel 8 Series, the Pixel 8a, later this year. A report by WinFuture reveals details about the Pixel 8a, including its potential higher price compared to its predecessor and the introduction of four color options.
According to information obtained from German retailers, the Pixel 8a could come in two memory configurations and four different colors. The starting price in Europe is expected to exceed 550 EUR, compared to the Pixel 7a, which started at 499 EUR.
Retailer data suggests that the Pixel 8a will offer storage options of 128GB or 256GB. The Pixel 8a with 128GB storage is anticipated to start at 569.90 EUR (USD 621 / Rs. 51,445 approx.), while the 256GB variant could cost around 630 EUR (USD 686 / Rs. 56,870 approx.), although these figures are subject to change, according to the report.
The device is listed in four colors: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (beige), Bay (light blue), and Mint (light green). However, it should be noted that certain colors may only be available with specific memory configurations. For instance, the 256GB model is currently only listed in black.
Earlier reports suggest that the Pixel 8a will feature a Google Tensor G3 octa-core SoC, 8GB of RAM, a 6.1″ display with a curved design, and two cameras on the back in the characteristic Pixel series bar design.
Although the exact release date remains uncertain, it is expected to be available in April or May.
