Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Camera specs confirmed, samples teased


Ahead of the announcement later this week, Xiaomi has confirmed the camera specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and has also posted samples of the phone.

It will feature a 50MP Sony Optical LYT-900 main camera, which is Sony’s second-generation one-inch image sensor with a 136% increase in light input, replacing the Sony IMX989 main camera used by the Mi 13 Ultra. The 14 Ultra’s main camera supports a continuously variable aperture from f/1.63 to f/4.0.

It will feature a 50MP IMX858 camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 75mm focal length and 3.2x optical zoom. In addition, Xiaomi also confirmed that the 14 Ultra will feature a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto camera with f/2.5 aperture, 120mm focal length, and 5x optical zoom.

Details of the ultra-wide-angle camera has not been revealed yet, but it is said to use a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens from the previous generation model with support for macro shooting. The company has also shared camera samples from the phone.

Benchmarks of the phone have also surfaced revealing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Android 14 and 16GB of RAM. The phone is said to pack a 6.73-inch 2K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, 5300mAh battery, support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
