ASUS ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s Android 12 update starts rolling out

ASUS has finally started rolling out Android 12 update for its ROG Phone 5 and 5s models globally, as it had promised. This comes after the company rolled out Android 12 update for its Zenfone 8 series in December last year. Both the phones were launched on Android 11.

In addition to Android 12, the update brings a new ROG UI design with updated console design in Armoury Crate, widget page design in Launcher, revamped apps, extra dim setting, the Drones of Detection theme pack, and AirTriggers’ dual control feature, new Shortcut option in the Security & lock screen settings menu, replaces ASUS Safeguard with Android 12 Emergency SOS.

The update also brings Android 12 features such as privacy dashboard, camera and microphone indicators, show clipboard access, approximate location access, and microphone access features. There are also several bug fixes.

The update is about 3.4GB in size and is already rolling out to these devices. If you haven’t received the update, you can also check out the manual update link and also check out the complete changelog from the source links below.
