Nothing Launcher beta for Android released

At the Nothing event: The Truth, the company’s CEO and Co-founder Carl Pei confirmed the launch of Nothing phone (1) in summer and also unveiled the first look of the Nothing OS. At that time, the company said that it will preview the Nothing OS via its launcher that will be available to download on select smartphone models from April.

Today, it has released the Nothing Launcher (Beta) that is available for download on the Google Play Store for Samsung S21 & S22; Google Pixel 5 and 6. It will be available for OnePlus devices soon.

This shows Nothing OS graphics and animations unified by distinctive design language, as well as the following:

  • Max Icons and Max Folders: A new experience for Android. Hold and press to enlarge app folders or individual apps, so the things you use the most are more visible. Launch any app directly from your folders. Your most used apps will appear first in the folder.
  • Bespoke Clock & Weather widgets: Raw tech, balanced by human warmth. These widgets use the same dot matrix font as our logo.
  • Nothing Wallpaper & Style: Customise your home screen with the Nothing wallpapers and associated colour palette.

Nothing designed wallpapers and three ringtones tuned by teenage engineering can be downloaded from here.

The Launcher experience and suggestions can be shared Nothing Discord server or via launcher@nothing.tech, said the company.
