Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 series get 5G support in India with QPR beta 2 update, wide roll out by March

After several months, Google has finally added 5G support for both Airtel and Jio users in India with the latest QPR beta 2 update, which rolled out earlier this week that also brought several new features. The December Pixel feature drop was expected to bring the 5G support for the users in India, but now it is finally available with the beta.

Google said that it will be testing 5G and gather feedback from the users on quality and usability during the beta, before rolling it out to everyone with the stable update by Q1 2023, which is by March.

Since this is the beta update, there will be bugs, so it is recommended to wait for the stable release instead of installing it on your main device.

How to get it?

You can enroll in the Beta Program for your Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro to get the 5G support before it is released to everyone. If you are already in the Android 13 beta pogram, you should have automatically received the latest QPR update.
