Some iPhone 14 Pro users report horizontal lines, fix incoming

Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have recently reported horizontal lines across the screen when waking up from sleep or starting up. According to reports from Reddit users, the lines appear at random and disappear a few seconds later.

A few other Redditors reported that they took their phones to an Apple Store for testing and were told that there was no hardware problem. Instead, Apple claims that it is an iOS bug. Some claim that the problem began with iOS 16.2, while others claim that it was present in previous iOS 16 builds.

According to a response from an Apple support representative to a Reddit user who contacted the company, the company is aware of the ongoing issue, which is expected to be resolved soon with an upcoming update.

Apple Support team regarding the issue said,

We are aware of the issue, and this is due to the drivers […] It’s definitely a software issue and an update is expected to come soon.

There is currently no specific solution to this problem. However, many user reports claim that turning off the AOD will resolve this issue. Other solutions suggest turning off the phone manually rather than letting it time out and resetting the device.

However, we recommend that you wait for Apple’s fix, which is expected to arrive soon. More information on this subject should become available in the coming days.
