Pixel 7 mini could get a telephoto camera, ceramic body

Google introduced the Pixel 6a earlier this year, recently the phone with the codename Lynx (L10) has surfaced. This reveals better specifications compared to the Pixel 6a, so this could launch as Pixel 7 mini instead of Pixel 7a.

According to developer Kuba Wojciechowski, the phone is said to feature a FHD+ 120Hz screen, wireless charging and 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor, same as the Pixel 7, but feature a better 13MP Sony IMX712 ultra-wide sensor, the same 13MP sensor for the front camera and a new 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor probably for telephoto.

Leaker Digital Chat Station said that the phone is being manufactured by Foxconn in China. This could get the same Tensor G2 chip and support wireless charging, but feature a premium ceramic body compared to glass back in the Pixel 7 and the 7 Pro.

The source code also reveals Qualcomm WCN6740 Wi-Fi 6E + BT combo chip compared to Broadcom BCM4389 chip in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series.

It is not clear if this will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is said to be used in the Pixel 8 Pro, but it could launch in the first half of 2023, before the Pixel 8 series.
