Apple schedules WWDC 2024 for June 10


Apple has announced that its WWDC 2024 conference from will begin June 10th and go on till June 14th. Similar to the past few years, the event will be streamed live through Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website.

iOS 18 with AI

Based on reports, Apple is expected to unveil several AI features for iOS 18, and there are also rumours of Apple partnering with Google to use Gemini for iPhone’s AI capabilities. Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier this year said that Apple plans to “break new ground” on generative AI in 2024.

iOS 18 is expected to introduce generative AI technology, improving Siri and the Messages app’s ability to handle questions and auto-complete sentences. Apple is also said to be exploring similar AI features for other apps like Apple Music, Pages, Keynote, and Xcode.

The company will also reveal about the future of its software at the event, including, iPadOS 18, macOS 18, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18.

Swift Student Challenge 2024

Apple already announced the Swift Student Challenge 2024, an opportunity for student developers to showcase their love of coding by creating their own Swift playground.

On March 28, this year’s applicants will be notified of their status, and winners will be eligible to apply for the in-person experience at Apple Park. Fifty Distinguished Winners, who are recognized for outstanding submissions, will be invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience, said the company.

Apple has also launched a dedicated Apple Developer YouTube channel.
