Xiaomi Watch 2 with Wear OS, Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 surfaces


Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the Xiaomi Watch 2 in Europe, according to a report from Winfuture.de. The leak reveals details about its specifications, appearance, and price.

The Xiaomi Watch 2 is expected to feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, along with an always-on mode and a wide bezel. Notably, the physical rotating bezel from the previous Watch 2 Pro model has been removed.

Internally, the Xiaomi Watch 2 will run on the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 SoC, which includes an energy-saving co-processor. It is expected to boast a battery life of up to 65 hours and operate on Wear OS, featuring Google apps like Google Wallet, Google Maps, and the Play Store.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and GNSS. The watch also offers 5 ATM water resistance, 150 sports modes, and various health tracking features such as sleep monitoring, blood oxygen measurement, heart rate measurement, and step counting.

The expected price range for the Xiaomi Watch 2 is 200 Euros (USD 215 or Rs. 17,860 approx.) to 220 Euros (USD 236 or Rs. 19,650 approx.) in Europe, available in black and silver variants.

While the exact release date is not mentioned in the leak, Xiaomi has confirmed that a smartwatch will be showcased at MWC 2024 later this month along with the Xiaomi 14 series.
