Samsung Galaxy XCover7 rugged phone launched in India


Samsung has launched the Galaxy XCover7 in India, after it was introduced last month. It is the first ever enterprise focused smartphone from Samsung that is also engineered to survive extreme conditions.

It will ease the lives of professionals, providing faster connectivity, seamless continuity, and minimizing risk of interruptions caused by external factors, allowing them to work faster and smarter, said the company.

The Galaxy XCover7 has MIL-STD-810H3 military standard, IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and is also built to withstand drops of up to 1.5 metres, ensuring rough handling or accidents do not impact operations.

The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and the display also allow for adjustments to touch sensitivity, making them easy to use for workers wearing gloves, and features easy POGO charging pin for convenient recharging in any setting,

It features a programmable key for customizable shortcuts, runs Android 14, and the Galaxy XCover7 empowers users to work better while its Samsung Knox Vault ensures the safety of their data, protecting critical information in a separate, tamper-resistant hardware, said the company.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is priced at Rs. 27,208 for the standard edition and Rs. 27,530 for the Enterprise edition.

Consumers will be offered a 1-year warranty on the standard edition and a 2-year warranty on the enterprise edition, said the company.

Samsung also offers 12 months subscription of Knox Suite on the Galaxy XCover7 Enterprise Edition, giving the users tools to secure, deploy, and manage devices throughout their life cycle.
