ASUS Zenfone 11 surfaces in Google Play Console, but with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4?

ASUS just refreshed its ROG lineup of smartphones and is expected to release a smartphone in the Zenfone lineup as well later this year. Confirming the news, ASUS Zenfone 11 with model number ASUS AI2401_D, was discovered recently on Google Play.

The listing has revealed the appearance of the smartphone as well as some technical specifications. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with an octa-core CPU, along with an Adreno 830 GPU.

In keeping with the tradition of using Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line chipset for the Zenfone series, the Zenfone 11 indicates it will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (?) chipset.

The Zenfone 10 had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and technically, the next model would be expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which has the Adreno 750 GPU. However, the listing suggests a chipset with some other GPU, which raises the possibility of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

The Zenfone 11 will feature up to 16GB RAM and a Full HD+ screen with a punch hole in the center for a selfie camera. The phone should run Android 14, meaning it should run the latest Zen UI on top of it.

Furthermore, the smartphone image also reveals a taller aspect ratio and a screen similar to that of the ROG Phone 8, suggesting that ASUS might have given up on the compact design the company followed in previous years.

We should get more details about the Zenfone 11 in the coming months.
