Sony WH-1000XM5 ANC headphones launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 26,990

Sony has launched the most expected WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-canceling headphones in India, after it was introduced in May. The headphones have Integrated Processor V1 that can fully unlock the potential of Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1, while the specially designed 30mm driver unit enhances the noise cancelling.

The specially designed 30mm driver unit with a light and rigid dome uses carbon fibre composite material that improves high frequency sensitivity for more natural sound quality. It also supports Google Fast Pair feature, allowing you to effortlessly pair with your Android devices.

There is LDAC codec support, DSEE Extreme, and the Precise Voice Pickup Technology uses four beamforming microphones and an AI-based noise reduction algorithm to isolate your voice precisely.

The Adaptive Sound Control smart function senses where you are and what you’re doing, then adjusts ambient sound settings for the ideal listening experience. Multipoint connection lets you pair two Bluetooth devices at the same time.

The headphone comes with a handy collapsible carrying case that can be made thinner for easy storage, letting users easily take their headphones wherever they travel. But due to the design change, you can’t fold the headphones.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 promises up to 30 hours of battery life, and offers three hours’ worth of charge in just three minutes using USB-C Power Delivery (PD).

Pricing and availability

The Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones come in Black and Silver colours, are priced at Rs 34,990 and will be available from October 8th, but you can pre-order the headphones now from Amazon.in and ShopatSC at a special launch price of Rs. 26,990.
