Xiaomi 14 with 6.36″ 1.5K LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Triple 50MP cameras, IP68 ratings goes global


Xiaomi just introduced the Xiaomi 14 smartphone for the global markets, as it had promised, after it was introduced in China last year.

The phone features a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED flat TCL C8 LTPO panel with peak brightness of 3000 nits, 1-120Hz refresh rate, 1.61mm ultra-narrow bezels, 1.71mm narrow bezels and 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. There is Dolby Vision support, and the phone has DC dimming.

It has a flat side frame with rounded corners, sharp edges and has a 71.5mm ultra-narrow body for easy one-hand usage. The phone has a frosted glass back. The phone runs Android 14-based HyperOS and will get 4 generations of Android OS upgrades, as well as 5 years of security patches.

The infrared sensor is now present in the camera area on the back, and the speaker opening has been changed to a micro-slit hidden design and the top microphone has been hidden in the earpiece area. The phone also has IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and has IceLoop cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, one-way circulation structure, promising 3 times the performance of traditional VC.

The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31″ 1.2μm large Light Fusion 900 image sensor for a 13.5EV high dynamic range, f/1.6 aperture, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, all with Leica Summilux lens.

The phone packs a 4610mAh High-density silicon battery has 90W wired charging that can charge up to 100% in 31 minutes, 50W wireless charging for 100% charge in 46 minutes and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Pricing and availability

The Xiaomi 14 comes in Jade Green, Black and White colours and is priced starting at 999 Euros (USD 1082 / Rs. 89,725 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 512GB model costs 1,099.99 Euros (USD 1192 / Rs. 98,795 approx.).

It is already rolling out in several countries in Europe, and the company already confirmed the phone will launch in India on March 7th.
