At next@Acer event today, Acer unveiled a number of laptops as a part of its TravelMate series. The laptops for business use, the Acer TravelMate P4, Spin P4, and P2, are powered by the most recent CPUs available from either Intel or AMD. These laptops are aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. The devices will be launched in the third quarter of the year.
Acer TravelMate P4 and Acer TravelMate Spin P4
The TravelMate P4 is available in 14″ and 16″ screen sizes, whereas the TravelMate Spin P4 is only available in a 14″ screen size. These laptops are available with either an Intel Core i7 vPro CPU from the 12th generation or an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO processor. The laptops is available in both 16-inch and 14-inch sizes, and the convertible is only available in a 14-inch model, The laptops feature Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
All models of the TravelMate P4 and TravelMate P4 Spin come equipped with microphones that have AI-powered noise reduction, four speakers that face upward, and built-in DTS Audio for audio that is of superior quality and free of distortion. These eco-friendly laptops contain up to 37% PCR plastic (Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic) and 100% recycled packaging materials.
The TravelMate Spin P4 has an anti-glare display, can be spun into laptop, stand, tent, or tablet modes, and supports an AES 1.0 stylus. It also incorporates Corning Gorilla Glass scratch-resistant screens and a touchpad. Microsoft’s Pluton hardware security is included in the new TravelMate P4 and TravelMate Spin P4 notebooks with Ryzen PRO CPUs. Pluton technology is built into Windows 11 processors to safeguard identities, data, and apps.
The laptop meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards and includes Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB Type-A, HDMI, and Ethernet. In addition to Wi-Fi 6E capability, there is optional LTE connectivity. They also have up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM in Intel models, while AMD models feature DDR5 RAM as well as up to 1TB of SSD storage.
Acer TravelMate P2
The Acer TravelMate P2 business laptops include a 180-degree hinge that opens flat, and the devices incorporate 12th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro CPUs. The chassis is made of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic, and the OceanGlass touchpad is made of ocean-bound plastic and a UV texture layer.
Pricing and availability
- The 14-inch/16-inch Acer TravelMate P4 with Intel and AMD processors will be available starting in Q3 2022 in the United States for $1099 (INR 85421 approx.).
- The 14-inch/16-inch Acer TravelMate Spin P4 with Intel and AMD processors will be available starting in Q3 2022 in the United States for $1199 (INR 93194 approx.).
- The Acer TravelMate Spin P2 will be available starting in Q3 2022 in the United States for $899 (INR 69876 approx.).
