LG introduces new CineBeam 4K UST laser projector

LG Electronics is adding the Ultra Short Throw (UST) laser projector (model HU915QE), which is the follow-up to this year’s HU715Q model, to its line of high-end CineBeam 4K laser projectors.

Because of its neutral tone and minimalist design, the HU915QE is a good fit for high-end households. At a distance of 18.3 centimetres from the wall, LG’s latest premium home cinema solution can produce a beautifully crisp 90-inch image, or a bigger 120-inch screen. That’s just 5.6 cm away.

With the HU915QE’s sophisticated projection technology, consumers no longer need a huge, dedicated space for home theatre. LG’s latest projector has 3,700 ANSI lumens and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio for vivid, lifelike images. By using LG’s three-channel laser technology, which uses a separate light source for each primary (RGB) color, this new model can give more vivid images during the day than standard models with a single light source.

It streams 4K HDR content utilizing HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping. LG’s Brightness Optimizer II enhances the new CineBeam projector’s performance by automatically adjusting brightness levels to ambient light conditions. Adaptive Contrast changes the projector’s light sources to enhance scene contrast.

The HU915QE, preloaded with LG’s webOS 6.0 smart platform, lets users view Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and Apple TV without the need for an external device. Screen Mirroring, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth are also supported. Its integrated 2.2-channel, 40-watt speaker system provides excellent sound. Furthermore, it allows you to connect up to two LG Bluetooth speakers for theater-like surround sound.

For the new CineBeam, Kvadrat, a well-known textile business in Denmark, created a “Re-wool” comprising 45 percent recycled wool.

Pricing and availability

The LG CineBeam 4K laser projector (model HU915QE) will be available for purchase in the first half of 2022, with North America, Europe, and the Middle East being the first to get it, followed by Latin America and Asia. The price has not been revealed by the firm yet, but it is listed online for $5,996.99 (Rs. 4,64,815 approx.).

Speaking on the launch, Seo Young-jae, Senior Vice President and Head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, said,

An excellent choice for movie lovers seeking authentically cinematic experiences at home, the HU915QE combines superb performance with convenient features, easy installation and a sophisticated, space-friendly design.
