Samsung India is offering one-time free display replacement for Galaxy S21 and S22 with green line issue

Samsung has expanded its program for free display replacements to address a persistent green line issue affecting certain Galaxy devices with Super AMOLED displays.

Initially launched in select markets like India, this initiative was prompted by reports of green lines on older Samsung flagships flooding social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

With the issue growing, Samsung has now included additional models like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series for display replacements, following widespread online complaints after recent updates, reports SamMobile.

As per WhatsApp chat screenshots with Samsung Support shared by Tarun Vats, Samsung India offers a “One-Time Free Screen Replacement” for select models experiencing the green line issue, even if the warranty has expired.

The applicable models include the S20 Series, Note20/Ultra, S21 Series (excluding FE), and S22 Ultra (SM-S908E).

In addition to display repairs, these devices can also claim a one-time free replacement of the OCTA assembly, battery, and a Rework Kit. The deadline to avail of this offer at a Samsung service point is April 30, 2024.

Furthermore, according to information from the post, the one-time free screen replacement is only available for the specified models within three years of purchase, and there is no physical or water damage to the device.

Additionally, according to various reports on X, the Galaxy S21 FE is also affected by the issue after the March update. However, despite being affected, the device is not eligible for a screen replacement due to the green line issue, considering the list of eligible models.

Meanwhile, Samsung smartphones are not the only ones facing green lines on AMOLED screens. OnePlus has also faced criticism for similar issues in the past, prompting OnePlus India to offer a lifetime screen warranty after the green line issue in several models from last year.
